NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
COLUMBUS COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
As required by the Columbus County Land Use Regulation Ordinance, notice is hereby given that the Columbus County Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 starting at 6:00 PM in the Commissioners Chambers located on the 3rd floor of the County Administration Building at 127 W. Webster Street in Whiteville, NC. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive oral and written comments from the public regarding the following applications for a Special Use Permit for the following land use:
- To consider plans for a proposed RV Park located at 55 Riverview Lane, Tabor City, NC. The application for Riverview RV Park was submitted by Hubert D. Godwin and Malette Godwin.
All interested citizens are invited to attend these Public Hearings to present oral and written comments. Contact the Columbus County Planning Department at 910-640-6608 regarding questions.

The Columbus County Planning Board meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Columbus County Commissioners’ Chambers in the Columbus County Government Building located at 127 W. Webster Street in Whiteville. The Planning Board reviews and makes recommendations on ordinance text amendments, major subdivision preliminary plats, rezoning requests and conducts public hearings on special use permit requests. The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body that hears and takes final action on variances, special use permits and appeals of administrative decisions.
