Part-Time Position / 24 hours weekly

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Restitution/Community Service Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, administrative skills, and experience working with children, including troubled youth. The Restitution Program provides opportunities for offenders (youth, age 11-18 years old) to be accountable for their actions to the community and/or victim(s) through the forms of payments or supervised community service work that earns money to repay their victim(s).

Duties:

- Recruit, train and retain community volunteers and work sites.

-Interview students and families participating in the program.

-Maintain and process all required paperwork and reports on time.

- Maintain an evaluation and survey component.

- Report client progress to referral source monthly.

- Supervise all contract agreements with agencies, if any.

- Assist in securing additional funding for program operations.

- Establish a working relationship with county and state officials.

- Update brochures and other program literature as needed.

- Attend scheduled JCPC meetings to provide monthly program updates & information to the Board.

- Attend Teen Court Advisory Board meetings and Teen Court Sessions.

- Plan and conduct community outreach for Restitution/Community Service.

- Comply with all programmatic requirements of NCDPS, Division of Juvenile Justice.

- Perform other related duties as necessary.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human and Health Services, Criminal Justice or related field preferred. Must have experience in working with law enforcement, public school systems, and various county and state agencies. Must also possess knowledge of the judicial and law enforcement systems. Skills needed are financial and budget management, record keeping, public speaking, and volunteer recruitment. Must be computer proficient, flexible, resourceful and self-directed.

Salary Range: Dependent upon experience.  Up to $23/hour.
