Emergency Food & Shelter Program - Phase 26
Columbus County has been chosen to receive $31,023 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.
The selection was made by a National Board this chaired by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and consists of several representatives. A local Board is made up of representation from Columbus County Emergency Services, Help Mission, Homeless Advocate, Ministerial Association, Native Americans, Jewish Organization and the Red Cross. The Local Board is responsible for recommending agencies to receive these funds and any additional funds available under this phase of the program.
