Fair Bluff Election Results
The Columbus County Board of Elections shall conduct a Municipal Election to be held on February 23, 2010, in the Town of Fair Bluff, North Carolina to vote on the Fair Bluff Mayoral Seat. Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Fair Bluff Precinct located at 653 Railroad St. in Fair Bluff.
ABSENTEE BALLOT BY MAIL
Absentee ballots are allowed. Requests for an absentee ballot must be made in writing and received in the Columbus County Board of Elections office by 5:00 p.m. on February 16, 2010. Absentee voting begins on Monday, January 25, 2010 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2010.
ONE-STOP NO EXCUSE EARLY VOTING
One-stop voting will be held in the Columbus County Board of Elections Office located at 50 legion Drive , Suite A in Whiteville beginning Thursday, February 4, 2010 and ending Saturday, February 20, 2010. One-stop voting hours are 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Canvass Day will be held at 12:21 AM in the Board of Elections office in Whiteville on March 2, 2010.
All residents who reside in the Town of Fair Bluff and are registered to vote with the Columbus County Board of Elections may vote in the Fair Bluff Town Election. Voters who have moved should update their voter registration with Columbus County Board of Elections in order to be eligible to vote on Election Day. The voter registration books will be closed on January 29, 2010. If you missed the registration deadline, you may register at the Board of Elections office one-stop site during the one-stop period only( but must provide Identification with proof of address) and cast an absentee ballot
BUFFER ZONES
At the Precinct on Election Day and at the One-stop voting site buffer zones will be clearly marked off with yellow caution tape (50 ft from the main entrance of voting place entrance). Only individuals arriving for purpose of voting or an individual filing a challenge may enter this area. There shall be no campaigning or Electioneering inside the buffer zone area nor should anyone impede a voter’s access into this area. Precinct officials will designate an area on the premises where campaigning and electioneering will be allowed.
